CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN

The calibration technician is responsible for maintaining, testing and calibrating the variety of instruments and equipment; Ensures that all instruments, meters and test devices are calibrated correctly and perform accurate readings. Comply with the Policy and Quality Manual (QM), Description of the System of Calibration (CSD) of MPC and the internal work regulations. Responsible for calibrating variety of test instruments for one or more skill areas, such as: + Electrical Equipment + Dimensional Equipment + Industrial / Mechanical Equipment + Temperature Equipment + RF/Optical Equipment + Mechanical Requirements u2022 Valid Driver's License u2022 Basic Knowledge of Mechanical and Dimensional equipment preferred u2022 Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred u2022 Basic mathematics understanding u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills u2022 Experience in MS Word and Excel u2022 Ability to work both independently and under the supervision of Senior Technicians u2022 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance Training We accept applicants new to the calibration industry who are eager to learn Work Environment u2022 Work performed in the local laboratory and at customer facilities u2022 Up to 25% out of town, overnight travel All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment at Micro Precision without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status Benefits u2022 401(k) u2022 401(k) matching u2022 Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, along with FSA u2022 2 weeks vacation and 6 days sick time annually
