The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation through tracking Overall Equipment Effectiveness, addressing planned and unplanned process and equipment downtime, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. What youu2019ll do as a Manufacturing Engineer: Be a front-line leader for the manufacturing process integrity and efficient operation of the equipment. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and equipment, identifying areas for improvement and make recommendations for changes to increase optimization, cost savings, and quality. u00b7 Establish benchmarks and track Overall Equipment Effectiveness to provide data to support continuous improvement initiatives. u00b7 Investigate downtime and short-stop issues, identify root causes, and implement countermeasures to address them. u00b7 Implement changes to processes and equipment, according to approved plans, and document standard operations to ensure change control integrity. u00b7 Evaluate production machines and processes to improve operation using quality detection technology (cameras and sensors), as well as advanced plc controls. u00b7 Develop and implement detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflows for optimal efficiency, ensuring manufacturing processes and equipment comply with safety standards and legal regulations u00b7 Support capital projects from conception through implementation including new equipment introduction u00b7 Support evaluation of new materials, engineering trials, processes and other initiatives that require engineering review u00b7 Develop and publish documentation as required to support manufacturing equipment and processes u00b7 Provide user training across all functions on new equipment introductions and modifications u00b7 Support machine set up and repairs as needed by providing engineering expertise as needed u00b7 Create, update, and deliver reports as required Weu2019re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering, preferably manufacturing or mechanical engineering u00b7 3-5 yearsu2019 experience working as a manufacturing engineer in a batch, medium to high volume manufacturing environment u00b7 Experience working in a u201chands-onu201d, team setting with minimal supervisor u00b7 Strong equipment and automation experience using stand-alone pc, plc, and touch-panel controls u00b7 Expertise in Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Panasonic PLCs recommended and preferred. u00b7 Proven problem-solving skills in design, improvement, or maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and automation equipment u00b7 Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills u00b7 Expertise in MS Office and Project Management software u00b7 Expertise in CAD software and 3D modeling Benefits a Manufacturing Engineer Can Expect from Cartamundi: u00b7 Competitive pay u00b7 Climate controlled facility u00b7 401(k) with company match u00b7 Health, dental, and vision insurance starting day one u00b7 HSA and FSA u00b7 Life insurance u00b7 Short-Term and Long-Term Disability u00b7 Paid time off u00b7 Tuition reimbursement u00b7 Employee discounts on daycare, gym memberships, travel, and much more Physical requirements and working conditions: Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space.
