We want you to join our teamThe Sr. Category Manager as directed by the Manager, Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing category plans for the strategic sourcing of various spend categories including: Information Technology, Corporate Services, MRO, and Engineering and Construction Services. The incumbent will partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies, deliver savings, and improve productivity across the categories.Location: Hybrid, downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: New Manchester Street locationKey Responsibilities:Strategic procurement business partner, interfacing at various levels of the companyEstablish, build, and manage strong external vendor relationships, including negotiationsCreate, implement, and manage multi-year category sourcing strategies for assigned categories to generate value and where appropriate, innovation opportunities for the companyContinually sensing of internal customers and supply markets for changes that may impact the sourcing strategy.Partner with internal stakeholders to understand current and future business needs, as well as external resource requirements, in order to create and execute project pipelineLead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams that include representation from the end user communityDrive a measurable reduction in year over year total cost of ownership for assigned categoriesAnalyze spend data and identify opportunities to increase spend opportunities with diverse suppliers (including local and regional)Influence key internal stakeholders to engage procurement as a key partner in order to drive cost out of their 3rd party suppliersConduct regular reviews of supplier scorecards and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement of suppliers as part of a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programManage supplier qualification, RFP, supplier selection, contract development, implementation, purchase or blanket orders, compliance, and ongoing supply management processesContract resolution to ensure accurate supply of materials and/or servicesProvide external industry benchmarking to better assess strategy and solutions within procurementChampion standards and process improvements to create efficiencies in sourcing proceduresMay engage in peer coaching and mentoring for category manager associatesEducation/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance or related discipline required.Seven (7+) or more years' experience in sourcing various materials or services requiredMaster's degree preferred.Skills and Abilities Utilized in this Role Include:Demonstrated experience with successfully developing and executing multi-year sourcing category strategiesStrong knowledge of the strategic sourcing process and practical application of the process to sourcing projectsExceptional ability to engage cross functional teams and influence decision making processMust be able to navigate a complex organization structure to solve problemsAdvanced contract negotiation skillsStrong analytical skills requiredKnowledge of total cost of ownership (TC) and clean sheet methodologiesStrong project manage ent and change management skillsMust be able to work within all functions and levels of an organizationAdvanced knowledge of contract terms and conditionsExperience in increasing supplier diversity spendERP system experience: Maximo experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with the Power Advocate Energy Intelligence Platform a plus or web-based tools, such as e-Sourcing, Spend Analytics, Contract ManagementMust possess a positive attitude and strong values that fit with DLC's core values:Energized to shape the future;Bold in thinking and exploration of new possibilities;Collaborative in approaching all challenges;Responsible in commitment to safety, management of assets and finances and interaction with others;Selfless in serving the community, both on the job and through volunteerism.Storm Roles:All Non-Union Employees will serve in storm roles as appropriate to their role and skillset.Disclaimer:The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
