The successful candidate will have proven experience in business development, specifically in securing purchase orders or contracts for R&D and manufacturing services, with an emphasis on small molecule chemical development. This position reports into the Vice President of Business Development. We proudly offer u2022 Generous benefit options (eligible first day of employment) u2022 Paid training, vacation and holidays (vacation accrual begins on first day of employment) u2022 Career advancement opportunities u2022 Education reimbursement u2022 401K program with matching contributions u2022 Learning platform u2022 And more Responsibilities u2022 Identify, Qualify and Contact potential customers to generate inquiries for Curiau2019s research and development capabilities and services u2022 Proactive, hands-on approach to business development to ensure that revenue targets and key performance indicators are constantly over-achieved with incremental revenue growth from both the existing products/customer group, as well as identifying and penetrating in new accounts. u2022 After the firm's strategic objectives have been identified, selecting target customers and the desired positioning for the company, product portfolio determined, focusing on how to best implement the chosen marketing and sales strategy for the business development. u2022 Working closely with the Sales and Management Teams to proactively develop strategies for prioritizing and implementing sales and marketing plans. u2022 Develop new business opportunities with the respective accounts and use internal resources efficiently to convert these opportunities into successful projects and improve financial performance. u2022 Develop and maintain a current understanding of Curiau2019s capabilities and capacity as well as an understanding of the external marketplace (e.g. Conditions, trends and competitors). u2022 Contact potential customers to generate inquiries to Curiau2019s capabilities and services u2022 Prepare and deliver new quotations in collaboration with Curiau2019s respective technical teams on inquiries from customers u2022 Negotiate agreements of sale or purchase orders with customers u2022 Nurture and manage projects to the full satisfaction of customers. u2022 Prepare visit reports, and input data to maintain prospective database u2022 Contribute to the implementation of marketing initiatives, including providing market information, distributing materials, and attending tradeshows Qualifications u2022 A degree in science, preferably in synthetic organic chemistry. A PhD would be an advantage u2022 6+ years of Business Development experience related to CDMO services across all clinical phases and experience of working with multiple customers and projects of all sizes. Preference given to those candidates with strong technical understanding of small molecule chemical development and manufacturing with a proven track record of selling these capabilities to biotech and pharmaceutical clients u2022 Significant business development skills together with Sales and Marketing experience u2022 Project Management skills u2022 Strong commercial awareness and a service industry mentality u2022 Demonstrable success in a fast-paced and often intense environment u2022 The ability to travel, including a valid driveru2019s license u2022 A team player and outstanding relationship-building skills.
