Weekend Respiratory Therapist

Schedule + Every Weekend Respiratory Therapist (RT) Looking for a talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience. Job Description + Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness. + Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment + Complete a variety of bedside treatments + Oxygen therapy u00b7 Oxygen weaning u00b7 Aerosol therapy u00b7 PEP therapy u00b7 Deep breathing and coughing u00b7 Respiratory muscle training u00b7 Incentive Spirometry u00b7 Chest physiotherapy u00b7 Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning u00b7 Tracheo-bronchial suctioning and tracheostomy care u00b7 Airway management/assessment u00b7 Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation u00b7 Pulmonary function testing u00b7 High-flow oxygen u00b7 6- and 2-minute walk testing + Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter + Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation + Attend applicable IDT meetings + Experience with tracheotomy + Experience is a long term care setting + Follow procedure and protocol of facility + Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management + Performs related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: + Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
