What you will do in this role: + Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures in accordance with AORN, AST, quality, regulatory, and company standards. + Participates in on-call rotation based on the need of the department. + Operates the sterilizer and other patient care equipment according to manufactureru2019s instructions after proper training. + Promotes hospital processes and goals, and communicates issues, whether actual or potential, to appropriate person in the chain of command. + Takes initiative in performing other duties, whether assigned or not, such as assisting with updating surgeon preference cards, pulling case carts, stocking rooms, turning-over the OR, and assisting with scheduled supply inventory. + Quality Improvement: Strives for high quality performance and takes initiative to make improvements and deliver results. + Personal Achievement: Sets and achieves personal goals to advance career-related skills, knowledge and abilities and helps others to improve their skills. + Teamwork: Builds effective relationships across work groups by treating fellow employees with courtesy, respect and inclusiveness; maintains a positive attitude and takes responsibility for assignments. What qualifications you will need: + Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or military equivalent training in the Surgical Technologist role is required. + Certification in Surgical Technology. + Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required. + 2 year of Surgical Technologist experience is preferred.
