You'll gain exposure to diverse systems, grow your technical expertise, and contribute to continuous improvement in a company that values reliability, teamwork, and career development.u00a0Job title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Columbus, OHSalary: $21-$26 an hour based on experienceShift: rotating shift - 8 pm to 8 am rotating every 2 months from nights to daysContract to hireu00a0Essential Functions:- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubricating, replacing filters, inspecting, etc.- Monitor machinery for impending malfunctions- Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment including wiring circuits, control devices, PLC's, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, power transmission, heating/cooling equipment, and hoists.- Install new or modified equipment- Read and understand equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams- Work safely, identify unsafe conditions, and take-action to mitigate.- Locate, retrieve, and stage parts using a forklift and hoist- Fabricate using a band saw, drill press, grinder, acetylene torch, welding machine, lathe, milling machine, etc.- Provide hands-on direction to contractors- Assists in procuring parts and supplies- Prepare repairable assets for shipment to contractors- Use the internet to find information related to parts, repair procedures, etc.- Complete paperwork (logs, checklists, etc.)- Maintain housekeeping in work area- Train new employees on-the-job- Ability to communicate with production technicians and fellow coworkers in a professional manner.- Offer ideas for improving the performance of the operations- Work overtime as required- Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce film solutions that meet regulatory, ISO, SQF, and company requirements.- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management Systems.- Accountable to the PSI's Food Safety & Quality policy- Other duties as neededEssential requirements- Two years of related maintenance experience- PLC troubleshooting and repair experience- Ability to use hand and power tool- Good computer skills- Ability to lift, stand, twist and bend- High school diploma or equivalent- Ability to pass a preemployment screening
