From droughts to floods to sanitation systems, Stantecu2019s Water team designs fit for purpose solutions to all facets of the water infrastructure life cycle. We provide services related to water resources, reservoirs and dams, water supply, wastewater networks and treatment, flood mitigation and river basin management. Your Key Responsibilities - Youu2019ll provide single-point field inspection of the construction contractoru2019s work representing the Construction Manager in the field on water infrastructure projects. - Youu2019ll monitor the construction contractoru2019s work and prepare a comprehensive written Daily Report that includes such observation and description of all work activities. - Youu2019ll inspect and verify contractor compliance as detailed in the applicable procedural manual(s) and the Construction and Materials Specifications. - Youu2019ll communicate directly with construction contractors regarding conformance or non-conformance to standards, plans, specifications and codes. - Youu2019ll review any construction issues potentially resulting in an impact to the work of the Contractor which may result in a change to the contract. - Youu2019ll review and maintain master as-built and record drawing information maintained by the construction contractor. - Youu2019ll attend regular Progress Meetings with Contractor, including review of progress to planned schedule. - Youu2019ll assist with Developing project specific quality control and quality assurance documents and standards for projects that are under development. - Youu2019ll plan and coordinate all field testing and inspections in accordance with the Contract Documents. - Youu2019ll review and submit all test reports for inclusion in turnover documentation to Owner. - Youu2019ll prepare written reports documenting QA/QC inspections, non-compliance notices, and corrective actions. - Youu2019ll assist with authorized Force Account change order work performed on a time and materials basis, documenting the use of contractor labor, equipment and materials. - Youu2019ll review the monthly progress pay estimate submitting by the construction contractor to verify requests for payment of materials, percent complete and earned value. - You prepare and monitor a project punch list for deficient or uncompleted work by the construction contractor. Your Capabilities And Credentials: - Youu2019re able to work in a manner that ensures personal safety as well as the safety of fellow employees by following project and company health and safety guidelines and policies. - You understand and interpret contract documents and test plan for a designated Work Package for a specific construction activity. - Youu2019re able to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agency. Education & Experience - Minimum of five (5) years of construction project inspection experience required. - Successful completion of Associateu2019s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology or Construction Management is preferred. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
