The Demand Analyst is responsible for developing accurate, datau2011driven demand forecasts that support aftermarket parts, consumables, specialty surface coatings, and commercial/industrial machines across a global network. This role is essential in ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory positions, and supporting customer service and operational performance. The Analyst will lead monthly forecast review meetings with Account Managers, Product Managers, Sales, and Operations. They will own the development of statistical forecasts within SAP IBP and drive continuous improvement strategies that enhance forecast accuracy and support business growth. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: u2022 Ensure aftermarket parts, consumables, and machines are available to customers by maintaining accurate demand history, statistical forecasts, and safety stock levels for all North American and international stocking locations. u2022 Manage forecasting for new product introductions, promotions, engineering changes, and product obsolescence to meet customer service and inventory goals. u2022 Develop monthly statistical forecasts for all North American product groups using SAP IBP. u2022 Develop statistical forecasts for Japan, Australia, Export, and TNV markets for all North America parts and machines. u2022 Provide historical and future business forecast support across the global network. u2022 Facilitate monthly forecast review meetings with Sales, Product Management, Account Managers, and Operations. u2022 Maintain accurate sales, usage, and demand history at plant and aggregated levels. u2022 Analyze and adjust historical data as needed to improve forecast quality in coordination with the Forecasting Manager. u2022 Monitor and report forecast accuracy and bias; conduct exceptionu2011based analysis to identify root causes of variance. u2022 Recommend improvements to forecasting processes based on demand behavior and market trends. u2022 Execute and validate SAP IBP processes to generate and transfer forecasts into Demand Management. u2022 Investigate and resolve forecasting data issues related to new products, promotions, engineering changes, and supersessions. u2022 Assist with definition, testing, and implementation of forecasting and supply chain system enhancements. u2022 Collaborate with global supply planning teams to support S&OP processes and longu2011term planning. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in supply chain management, Business, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience. u2022 4+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, or supply chain analytics. u2022 4+ years of professional experience with Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, lookups, modeling). u2022 4+ years of experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred). u2022 Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and extract actionable insights. u2022 Strong communication and presentation skills. u2022 Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence stakeholders. PREFERED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: u2022 Experience working in global or aftermarket environments. u2022 SAP IBP experience strongly preferred. u2022 Familiarity with lifecycle forecasting, replacement parts behavior, and slowu2011moving inventory dynamics. u2022 Experience with data tools such as Power BI or Angles. u2022 ASCM/APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar. Tennant Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
