Minimum Qualifications One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Installs, maintains, alters, repairs and removes simple electrical fixtures, interior light fixtures, light machinery, electrical outlets and switches + Installs, maintains, alters, and repairs plumbing fixtures, toilets, unclog sink/toilet/tub drains + Performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned + Performs demolition and construction work on minor projects as assigned throughout the entire campus + Adheres to all federal, state, local, campus, and department safety regulations during the performance of assigned duties + Special events work; b) campus maintenance emergencies + Assists other trades in their duties (plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, carpenters, sign shop and painters) when needed Position-Specific Details: The person applying must possess a valid Driver's License.
