Overview The Commissioning Provider III provides leadership in all aspects of one or more construction projects. Manages a team of Commissioning Agents and Technicians to execute multiple commissioning projects. Provide leadership and oversight to the Commissioning team to ensure that the commissioning scope of work is executed in an efficient and accurate manner. Frequently interacts with the owner, owneru2019s representatives, contractors, engineers, and architects to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of the position. Responsibilities u2022 Manage multiple commissioning projects, including client interface, team coordination, schedule, and budget management. u2022 Contribute to improving commissioning processes and building on commissioning best practices. u2022 Manage the full construction project lifecycle, from initial project planning phases through the completion of construction. u2022 Meet with clients, architects, engineers, and other design personnel to establish project plans, budgets, and schedules. u2022 Work with the Commissioning Project manager and Director to understand construction project resources and track project progress against established timelines and schedules. u2022 Ensure deliverables are held to for the client. u2022 Act as a liaison between the client and project team members regarding changes or problems. u2022 Perform and mentor team members on complex commissioning tasks. u2022 Participate in the execution of commissioning tasks in the field with the Agents/Technicians. u2022 Coordinate with clients, external resources, and internal team members to ensure that the client requirements have been accurately documented and communicated to all parties. u2022 Manage all incoming project information from clients, internal and external customers; and distribute to Commissioning u2022 Agents and Technicians to ensure that the commissioning scope of work is executed in an efficient and accurate manner. u2022 Coordinate with the Commissioning Project Manager to continuously track project talent resources and metrics to ensure that the project is delivered on time, and on budget. u2022 Establish and deliver a process for frequent tracking and reporting of project status and execution for communication to the client and to internal/external customers. u2022 Ensure that all communication originating from team members to client representatives, contractors, and outside consultants are properly documented. u2022 Train, mentor, and supervise the work of Commissioning Agents and Technicians. u2022 Provide input to the Commissioning Director for the development and maintenance of commissioning standards and processes. u2022 Interact directly with owners and clients to manage expectations. u2022 Assist the Commissioning Director in the development and marketing of new opportunities, including participation in new project interviews and pursuing new opportunities with current clients. u2022 Upholds BTMEu2019s owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values. u2022 Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. u2022 10+ years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, or building operation management experience. u2022 5 years of project management experience managing integrated project teams in one of the following sectors: Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, or Energy. u2022 Experience in building construction and controls. u2022 Experience in HVAC mechanical equipment and design. u2022 Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE. u2022 Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships. u2022 Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills. u2022 Strong project management and scheduling skills. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Critical thinker and problem solver. u2022 Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary. u2022 Able to interact with the owner, contractor and design team in a professional manner. u2022 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). u2022 Proficient with Cloud Based commissioning software platforms. u2022 Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of big picture. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications u2022 Well-versed in the industry and the Companyu2019s competitors. u2022 Engineering Intern (EI) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Travel Requirements u2022 25-40% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
