Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a direct-hire opportunity at a manufacturing facility in Akron, OH. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with a strong electrical and mechanical background who is ready to step into a leadership role. You'll be responsible for guiding maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and ensuring production systems operate safely and efficiently. With competitive pay up to $35/hour, a stable second-shift schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package, this position offers long-term career growth with a company that values technical excellence and leadership.Job title: Lead Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Akron, OHShift: 2 ^nd^ (Tuesday through Saturday 2 pm to 10:15 pm {Saturdays are a must})Salary: up to $35 an hour based on experienceDIRECT HIRE OpportunityJob duties- Work with 480 vac 3-phase and lower voltages.- Reworking and installation of electrical wiring for equipment, per NEC guidelines.- Troubleshoot and replace faulty electrical components such as relays, fuses, power supplies, switches, motors and position sensing devices, machinery controls, etc.- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system- Identify equipment concerns relating to the product, process and quality system- Troubleshoot industrial machinery, PLC's, and drives- Basic welding and fabrication- Performs routine preventative maintenance and ensures that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Diagnosing and maintaining mechanical systems, equipment and electrical controls is essential.- Follows company safety & quality policies and procedures.- Repairs on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment- Provide guidance and direction with maintenance associates- Utilize CMMS for PM's & work orders- Other duties as neededRequirements- Minimum of 8 years industrial maintenance experience.- Electrical & mechanical background- Leadership background in maintenance field- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system- Identify equipment concerns relating to the product, process and quality system- Troubleshoot industrial machinery, PLC's, and drives- Basic welding and fabrication- High School or GED- Trade School or associate degree, or relevant electrical experience- Ability to pass a preemployment screeningBenefits:- 401(k) matching- Health, Vision and Dental insurance- Life insurance- Paid time off
