Positions are Second shift Monday - Thursday3:30pm - 2:00am. Position entails, -Working with finished delicateitems. Will need good situational awareness and attention to detail.-Will be required to work with Saws and Routers on a daily basis. -Willneed basic computer skills and a willingness to learn. Will be workingwith standard and digital blueprints. Position responsibility will be. -Disassembling and assembling cabinets. - Some basic plumbing cabinetry -Some basic wiring of cabinetry. Education and Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Wood working, wood finishing orauto body & painting experience in a technical environment or completionof Technical Certificate in cabinet making preferred. and/or completionin current year youth apprenticeship program, in area of expertise.Position Purpose: Under direct supervision, learns and performs thebasic skills and functions related to fabrication of aircraft cabinetsand other wood-surfaced subassemblies using design and engineeringdrawings. Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Learns entry-level technical skills and knowledge,regulatory requirements and tooling used in aircraft cabinetmaking.Continues to develop technical competency and problem solving abilitiesto allow progression to the technician level. Using standard safety andoperating procedures, design/engineering drawings, tools and othermaterials (laminates, veneers, cap strips), develops proficiency in thepreparation and making of furniture. . Utilizes the material trackingsystem to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off completedwork. Complies with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, usespersonal protective equipment; ensures aircraft interior is protected.Assists in the development and implementation of related initiatives. .Perform other duties as assigned.
