to the Executive Chef and assume full responsibility for kitchen operations in their absenceAdminister disciplinary actions under the direction of the Executive ChefAdapt kitchen staff to changes in business volumeEnforce health department regulations and standardsObserve each employee at least once per shift to ensure duties meet Executive Chef’s specificationsEnsure compliance with dress code and appearance standardsAssist the Executive Chef with daily specials and banquet preparationsMaintain a daily production inventoryMonitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing standardsSupport cooking and care of meats and complex dishes during peak service periodsProvide courteous and friendly service to all staffSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to company standardsMonitor workflows and task execution to maintain quality and timeliness across assigned areasCoordinate with team members to support smooth collaboration and resolve operational issues as they ariseEnsure compliance with safety, sanitation, and organizational policiesMaintain readiness of workspaces and resources to support ongoing and upcoming tasksProvide guidance and support to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environmentCommunicate effectively with leadership regarding operational updates, challenges, and resource needsLead by example in professionalism, customer service, and adherence to company valuesQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSMust be at least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or GED required3 to 5 years of experience in a high-volume hotel kitchenStrong organizational and communication skillsProficient in basic mathMaintains confidentiality of sensitive informationPresents a professional, pleasant, confident, and well-groomed appearanceWorks effectively with co-workers, other departments, and customersFully understands and adheres to company and departmental policies and proceduresProficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in EnglishREASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense and sound judgment to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed
