Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION This role will be responsible for driving and supporting in robot testing, debug and root cause analysis; And will require a mix of experience with embedded software, and integration with highly complex mechanical systems. u2022u2003Support the development of verification & validation procedures and test scripts and ensure traceability to engineering and product requirements. u2022u2003Document verification & validation results and partner with systems and design engineers to recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance of validation results. u2022u2003Validate the performance and reliability of general-purpose robots during product development. u2022u2003Ensure testing processes and procedures comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. u2022u2003Summarize and present complex test results to drive actionable plans. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE u2022u2003Proficiency with: Python (write test scripts and debug startup scripts), C++ (understand/read), Linux (navigate Linux operating system) u2022u2003Expertise in verification and validation of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems, ideally robotics u2022u2003Expertise in root cause analysis and reliability growth u2022u2003Familiarity with ROS u2013 Executing main stack in ROS, using various ROS messages, understand messaging structure (do not need to be fluent enough to dive in and write ROS scripts) u2022u2003Understanding of EtherCAT protocols for troubleshooting u2022u2003Familiarity with RTPreempt and Linux kernel configuration u2022u2003Proven experience developing and debugging real-time, multithreaded software systems u2022u2003Familiarity with issue ticketing, reporting, and tracking, ideally with Jira and/or Salesforce NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE u2022u2003Experience designing specialized test equipment and test fixtures u2022u2003Experience using Test Rail as a testing framework u2022u2003Ability to automate test scripts u2022u2003Professional experience using standard CI tools like Git u2022u2003Strong theoretical understanding of some significant subset of dynamics, controls, estimation, and linear algebra u2022u2003Experience implementing model-based feedback control of articulated robots and troubleshooting hardware u2022u2003Experience with complex robotic systems, especially planning and control for grasping and manipulating generic objects with a robot arm in an industrial automation context
