Procurement Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee procurement activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure efficient purchasing processes to support organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in corporate procurement and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders and vendor contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing. u2022 Monitor purchasing activities to align with organizational policies and industry standards. u2022 Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to forecast procurement needs and plan accordingly. u2022 Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while adhering to quality requirements. u2022 Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and vendor offerings. u2022 Utilize ESB Oracle SOA tools to streamline procurement workflows and enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities and performance metrics. u2022 Address and resolve issues related to purchasing and vendor performance. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate procurement or a related field. u2022 Strong knowledge of purchase order management and buying processes. u2022 Expertise in contract negotiations and supplier relationship management. u2022 Familiarity with procurement functions and industry best practices. u2022 Proficiency in using ESB Oracle SOA or similar tools. u2022 Excellent analytical skills to evaluate procurement data and identify improvements. u2022 Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
