Description: Job Description Overview You will be the Manufacturing Engineer, Senior for the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) development team. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes for the NGI program as it transitions from development to lowu2011rate initial production. What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team focused on ensuring designs are producible and costu2011competitive. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in related engineering discipline u2022 Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start u2022 A broad base of professional knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production u2022 Professional experience with product manufacturability (DFM), producibility, and design for cost (DFC) Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems u2022 Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow u2022 Shop floor Manufacturing Engineering experience u2022 Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership u2022 Statement of work and proposal development experience u2022 Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy u2022 Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling u2022 Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience u2022 Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification u2022 Ability to travel domestic and/or internationally 25-30% Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
