Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing invoice processing and payment tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This position requires strong attention to detail and familiarity with accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with company standards and guidelines. u2022 Perform regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers. u2022 Verify invoice details and resolve any discrepancies or errors. u2022 Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve payment-related inquiries. u2022 Prepare reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities. u2022 Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data. u2022 Assist in streamlining and improving accounts payable processes. u2022 Ensure all payments are processed within established deadlines. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. u2022 Proficiency in coding invoices and conducting check runs. u2022 Strong skills in invoice processing and reconciliation. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation. u2022 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
