What We Offer Novant Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our Palliative Care Team. The CMA will coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. + Conduct in-home patient visits (Travel to patient homes is required) + Manage an average daily caseload of 4u20135 patients + Take and document vital signs during visits + Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team + Provide coverage for team membersu2019 PTO as needed + Support clinic or team needs when no patient appointments are scheduled + Mileage reimbursement provided What We're Looking For + Education + High School Diploma or GED u2013 Required + Medical Assistant Certification u2013 Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire + Candidates must provide proof of current certification from one of the following approved registries: + CMA u2013 American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) + CCMA u2013 National Health Career Association (NHA) + RMA u2013 American Medical Technologists (AMT) + American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) + National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) + National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) + American Allied Health (AAH) + RMA u2013 American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) + If not currently certified, the candidate must: + Obtain certification or registration by the end of the 6th month of hire + Sign an education agreement Experience + Previous medical office experience u2013 Preferred + Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 Licensure / Certification + Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire u2013 Required + Life Support Training per NH-HR-3096 u2013 Required + Current State Driveru2019s License u2013 Required (Palliative Care roles only) Why Choose Novant Health?
