Maintenance Technician Job Description This is a 3rd shift Maintenance Technician position from 11 PM to 7 AM, working Monday through Friday with possible weekend shifts. New hires will work 8-hour shifts. The role involves a variety of mechanical repairs on Plastic Injection presses and assembly equipment. The focus will be on troubleshooting equipment such as Fanuc robots and press top robots, and working with Allen Bradley PLC controllers. Responsibilities + Perform mechanical repairs on laser sensors, cylinders, pneumatic valves, hot plate welders, light curtains, proximity sensors, heater probes, pin stamps on assembly equipment, pressure switches, and bowl feeders. + Maintain and repair air compressors ranging from 100-150 horsepower. + Troubleshoot and perform minor edits on Fanuc robots and press top robots (SEPRO, RANGER, AUTOMATED ASSEMBLIES, AEC). + Hook up and view programs on Allen Bradley PLC controllers to diagnose machine sequence issues. + Focus on load cells, intelligent actuators, troubleshooting vision systems, automated screw guns, bowl feeding/blow feeding, VFDs, laser printers, proximity sensors, and wiring. Assembly operations are located at the front and right side of the facility, while plastic injection operations are at the back. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
