Apply today Job Summary: Performs MRIstudies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a seniorMRI Technologist. This individual interacts with imaging staff, nursing,physicians, patients and visitors. Acts as a resource person for MRItechnical, and other issues, and demonstrates competence according tospecific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Operates MRI and relatedequipment, prepares scan room - equipment, supplies and medications.This individual also maintains images and archives associated withpatient data. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One tothree years of experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Graduateof an JRCERT approved two-year or four-year radiologic technology,nuclear medicine program, or MRI program is required. Two or four yearcollege degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business or otherrelated degree is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Successful completionof a cross-sectional anatomy class is required. SPECIAL SKILLSDESCRIPTION: Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion andcontrast injection; ability to assimilate new procedures into workroutine is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: ARRT registered is required.Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-MR is required within 18months of hire. BCLS certified within 90 days of hire date. State of WIlicense in Radiologic Technology if incumbent performs CT, generalradiography or any other imaging using ionizing radiation; if practiceis limited to MRI and/or Ultrasound, no state license is required.
