The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotelu2019s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. The Senior Group Sales Manager is responsible for driving group, corporate, and leisure business for the hotel by developing strategic sales initiatives, cultivating strong client relationships, and maximizing revenue opportunities. This position is classified as an hourly, non-exempt role and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws. Key Responsibilities u2022Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed hotel revenue goals u2022Generate new group, corporate, and social business through proactive sales efforts, networking, and market outreach u2022Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying opportunities for upselling and repeat business u2022Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms to maximize profitability while maintaining guest satisfaction u2022Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Catering, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution u2022Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and local networking functions in the Scottsdale and greater Phoenix market u2022Conduct site inspections and client presentations showcasing hotel accommodations, meeting spaces, and amenities u2022Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to adjust sales strategies accordingly u2022Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and activity updates for senior leadership u2022Mentor and support junior sales team members as needed Qualifications u2022Bacheloru2019s degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred u2022Minimum of 5 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role u2022Strong knowledge of the Scottsdale/Phoenix hospitality and group sales market u2022Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets u2022Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills u2022Proficiency in CRM systems and hotel sales platforms strongly preferred (e.g., CI/TY, Salesforce, LightSpeed) u2022Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required Skills and Competencies u2022Strategic thinking and revenue-focused mindset u2022Relationship-building and client-focused approach u2022Strong organizational and time-management skills u2022Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams u2022Professional demeanor with a passion for hospitality excellence Pyramid Global Hospitality offers a range of employment benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, as well as unique perks such as on-site wellness programs, local discounts, and employee rates on hotel stays.
