Job Title: Production Associate Job Description We are seeking an experienced forklift operator to join a dynamic team in a facility specializing in warehousing steel materials and shipping them to customers as needed. The ideal candidate will be adept at operating forklifts and capable of handling heavy steel materials, including aluminum ingots, using equipment ranging from 6-ton to 60-ton capacity. Responsibilities + Operate forklifts to transport heavy and sometimes challenging loads due to their length and size. + Handle and move steel materials and aluminum ingots efficiently. + Ensure safe operation of forklifts within the warehouse environment. Essential Skills + Proficient in forklift operation. + Ability to transport heavy and large loads safely. Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled within a warehouse setting, with a team of approximately 14 employees. There are three shifts available: 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday; 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11:pm, Monday to Friday; and 3rd shift from 10:30pm to 7:00am, Sunday to Thursday. Employees are required to wear long pants, long sleeves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
