Zayo serves wireless and wireline carriers, media, tech, content, finance, healthcare and other large enterprises. Zayo is seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst to join our Tax Team. You get to working with our Transaction Tax Manager and Director to ensure the timely and accurate filing of Zayou2019s indirect tax obligations, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, excise tax, and other transaction-based taxes. Our Indirect Tax Analyst role involves reviewing and preparing data for tax returns; reviewing the payment funding of those tax returns; maintaining the supporting workpapers; working with tax audits as needed; and assisting with the maintenance of customer exemptions and documentation. You'll also work closely with other members of the Indirect Tax team to minimize tax risk and optimize processes. We're open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our Denver, CO headquarters (1401 Wynkoop St). More About What You'll Get To Do: Compliance & Reporting + Cause to have prepared and filed the indirect tax returns (sales/use tax, VAT/GST, excise, etc.) across multiple jurisdictions. + Ensure timely and accurate payment of tax liabilities. + Maintain documentation and records to support filings and audits. Exemption Certificate Management + Assist with the management and application of customer tax exemptions. Audit & Risk Management + Assist with the management of internal and external audits related to indirect taxes. Process Improvement + Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance tax reporting systems. + Automate tax calculations and improve data accuracy. What You'll Need: Education: Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field. Experience: Two (2) - four (4) years of experience in indirect tax compliance or advisory (public accounting or corporate tax environment, preferred). Skills: + Strong knowledge of U.S. sales/use tax; knowledge of VAT/GST is a plus. + Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion is a plus) and tax software (Avalara is a plus). + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with multi-state or global indirect tax compliance. + Proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel, Access, Alteryx). + Experience in the Telecommunications industry is a plus. Estimated base salary range: $77,100 - $118,600 USD/annually #LI-AW1 #Hybrid The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
