Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support and improve a high-exception AR function. This role requires independence, strong problem-solving skills, and comfort working in an evolving environment. u26a0ufe0f Location Requirement (Non-Negotiable): The position is currently based in Humble, TX and will relocate to Pearland / South Houston (near Beltway 8 & Hwy 288) within the next few months. Candidates must be comfortable commuting to both locations, with Pearland as the long-term site. Schedule + Training: 100% on-site for a minimum of 1-2 months + Post-Training: Hybrid (2 remote / 3 in-office) + Employment Type: Contract-to-Full-Time + Contract Benefits: Paid company holidays Job Duties + Manage open accounts receivable balances and monitor customer payments + Perform collections outreach via customer calls, reminders, and notices + Apply customer payments daily and research discrepancies + Follow up on delinquent accounts, including coordination with collection agencies + Support invoicing, account statements, and AR-related requests from Operations + Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate cash variances + Prepare AR, cash, and credit collection reports + Run customer credit checks and monitor approved credit limits + Maintain accurate customer and expense management data + Partner with Sales and Operations to resolve payment issues + Support continuous improvement and process cleanup initiatives Requirements Requirements + Prior accounts receivable experience, ideally in high-exception or less-structured environments + Ability to work independently with minimal direction + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Comfortable investigating root causes and improving processes + Strong communication skills for internal and customer interactions + Willingness to be on-site for extended training and open to long-term relocation to the Pearland area + Adaptability across accounting or AR systems (no specific ERP required) Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
