Description A growing development and property management organization based in Dallas is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join its team. This role is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining accounting records for an assigned property portfolio, and reviewing work completed by staff accountants. Key Responsibilities u2022 Maintain a strong understanding of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting. u2022 Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for property stakeholders. u2022 Review monthly close processes completed by property management teams. u2022 Serve as a primary point of contact for property management regarding accounting-related matters. u2022 Support Accounts Payable by verifying proper invoice coding. u2022 Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports within required timelines. u2022 Communicate effectively with property stakeholders and provide requested ad hoc financial information. u2022 Prepare audit schedules and coordinate communication with external auditors. u2022 Post monthly and annual journal entries and manage all general ledger functions for assigned properties. u2022 Assist with tasks related to properties under development or nearing completion. u2022 Lead the process of converting construction loans to permanent financing. u2022 Track and gather documentation required for capital contribution requests. u2022 Prepare annual surplus cash calculations for stabilized properties. u2022 Train and support Staff Accountants as needed. u2022 Assist with additional accounting functions such as treasury management, corporate accounting, and other related areas. Requirements Qualifications u2022 Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting. u2022 Experience with LIHTC is preferred. u2022 HUD experience is a plus. u2022 Property accounting experience required. u2022 CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred. u2022 Public accounting experience is beneficial. u2022 Experience with accounting or property management software such as MRI, RealPage, Yardi, or Sage 300 Construction is a plus. + Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
