As an Estimator, you play a key role in supportingFindorff's preconstruction and bidding efforts across a wide range ofproject sizes and delivery methods. You are responsible for developingaccurate, well-strategized estimates while collaborating closely withowners, architects, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Asexperience grows, Estimators are entrusted with increasingly complexprojects and greater responsibility. Success in this role is measured bythe ability to deliver competitive, well-analyzed estimates, supportsmooth project transitions, and contribute to strong clientrelationships. Key Responsibilities: Serve as bid captain on assignedprojects, managing the bidding process from start to finish Reviewdrawings, specifications, and bid documents for scope clarity,constructability, and risk Identify and contact prospective biddersusing bidding software and direct outreach Develop bid strategies anddelivery approaches aligned with project goals Coordinate quantitytakeoffs, pricing, and estimate development Schedule, prepare for, andlead internal pre-bid and pricing review meetings Evaluate bid resultsand summarize key insights Lead constructability reviews and scopealignment discussions Identify and recommend value-engineering options,including alternate systems or materials Provide cost andconstructability feedback to owners and architects Maintain timely andaccurate budget updates aligned with the preconstruction scheduleDevelop bid package strategies and prepare supporting documentationOversee bidding of construction documents and ensure a smooth handoff toproject teams Utilize historical cost data to validate budgets andrefine estimates Research new materials, systems, and scopes of work andprovide cost insights Serve as a subject matter resource forself-performed work, including SPW estimate reviews Mentor and supportProject Engineers by providing guidance and performance feedback asneeded Collaborate with project management and field teams on cost,constructability, scheduling, and general requirements Build andmaintain strong, trusted relationships...
