Automation Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: We are hiring an Automation Technician to join ourteam. This technician will be responsible for HellermannTyton'sspecific automated and semi-automated equipment and extraction/placementrobots. The main focus will be training on performing complete set-ups,adjustments, troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues, assisting with therepairs, and training on proper maintenance of all equipment. What YouWill Do (Essential Functions): Training to accurately performchangeovers and setups on all machines within all the HellermannTytonfacilities within specifications of work orders, HellermannTyton andOSHA regulated safety procedures, and HellermannTyton qualityguidelines. Adjusting Robot and automation pick points, timers, andsettings Loading Star Robot programs after a mold change, or creating anew program if one does not exist. Perform preventative and predictivemaintenance to equipment when necessary or assigned to. Follow providedwork instructions to ensure proper lubricants and inspections are doneto satisfactory standards. Replacing and aligning vertical balancecylinders on Star Automation Robots Analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose,adjust, or repair electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical components onautomated and semi-automated equipment. Use a company service laptop toadjust servo and actuator parameters, adjust inspection cameraparameters, and calibrate metering equipment. Make adjustments, repairs,and maintenance on machines in a manner that complies with companysafety and workmanship expectations. Minimize faults, alarms, andproduct scrap by proposing solutions or improvements to the equipment ormanufacturing process through constructive thinking and collaboratingwith affected departments. Success in this role will require: Excellentcommunication skills, able to communicate effectively and follow workinstructions. Able to properly operate a forklift, scissor lift,overhead crane, and pallet hand jack. Safely use hand and power tools.Basic to advanced PC skills and knowledge. Able to visually inspectproduct and packaging quality according to HellermannTyton's qualitystandards while wearing approved safety eyewear. Willing to work dailyovertime and weekend overtime as necessary to meet the needs of ourcustomers. What You Bring/Qualifications: A high school diploma orequivalent is required; A technical or trade school associate degree orsimilar is preferred The ability to read, write, and perform basic mathis required. Complete set of personal hand tools, with a toolbox or bag.Must have a valid driver's license, with an acceptable driving record,and be adequately insured Stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend for up to8 hours, or more on occasion.
