Summary MSOEinvites applications for a full-time Laboratory Technician to join ourMechanical Engineering Lab team. Under the direction of the MechanicalEngineering Department Chair, the Laboratory Technician, Electronics,provides support for departmental laboratories and projects.Responsibilities include the set-up of equipment needed for laboratoryinstruction, maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment,data acquisition systems, measurement systems, PLC systems and sensorswhile assisting faculty and students in academic projects, andrecommending purchases, all in accordance with MSOE's establishedpolicies and procedures. Essential Job Functions Set up of laboratoryequipment as required for academic laboratories includinghardware-software integration as necessary Maintenance and calibrationof electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, data acquisitionsystems, measurement systems, PLC systems and sensors Technical supportfor academic projects Oversee laboratories as assigned to ensurelaboratories are organized and functional Work with EHS officer toensure safety requirements are met Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupply students with the materials, tools, equipment, and informationneeded to complete academic projects.
