JOB REQUIREMENTS: Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemistry - (NiLab) Posting Number: 201104644 Employment Status: Full Time Job Family:Position Overview The postdoctoral appointment in organic chemistry willbe carried out in the research program of Dr. Huiqi Ni. The candidatewill conduct studies in the area of organic synthesis and catalysis,including methodology development and mechanism investigation. Thecandidate will be mentoring graduate and undergraduate students andparticipate in maintaining good safety practices in the laboratory. Thecandidate will participate in manuscript and grant writing. This is a12-month position expected to start in July 2026 and may be renewed fora second year upon mutual agreement with the research advisor. Dutiesand Responsibilities -Perform research in organic chemistry methodologydevelopment -Develop synthetic routes for building block synthesis-Mentor and train graduate and undergraduate students -Use and implementsafe laboratory practices -Maintain excellent records of experimentsperformed -Attend research meetings, provide research summaries, andpresent research in formal settings -Participate in writing manuscriptsand grants Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The candidate willhave earned a PhD in Chemistry having specialized in organic synthesiswith a focus on method development and/or natural product synthesis.Must possess strong communication and analytical skills; thoroughknowledge of laboratory practices and procedures; and the ability toimplement research projects. Must be willing to work flexible hours asnecessary.
