An ideal candidate will have experience monitoring and writingu00a0onu00a0strategic or technical topics, coordinatingu00a0events, and working with senior government individuals in a Navy/DoD environment.u00a0u00a0 u00a0 Typical Responsibilities:u00a0 + Provide primary support to the NIWC Strategic Team by fulfilling all tasks and duties asu00a0required.u00a0 + Conduct research on trending political topics or policies and summarize findings to share on the NIWC Hub.u00a0Participate inu00a0planning meetings to select topics. Provide feedback/review functions to other team membersu2019 writings.u00a0 + Perform extensive research to support the Strategic Team with Environmental Scan (ES) projects.u00a0Present or answer questions related to ES topics.u00a0 + Stay updated on the latestu00a0Strategicu00a0Plan released by the Navy andu00a0other military branches.u00a0 + Schedule and coordinate meetings and events includingu00a0agenda, room scheduling and prep, and slide and content prep.u00a0 + Attendu00a0numerousu00a0meetings to support the Strategic Planning Meeting (SPM) teams.u00a0 + Assistu00a0in building SPM presentations, conducting research, and communicating with SPM team members.u00a0 + Participate in meetings withu00a0senior NIWC governmentu00a0leadership.u00a0 + Assist the Branch Head with planning and organizing theu00a0TeachBoardu00a0Annual Conference.u00a0 Location:Full time onsiteat the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) in San Diego, CA. This position cannot be performed remotely/offsite. Schedule:u00a0This position follows theCalifornia Alternate Work Week schedule. Mondays through Thursdays are 9u00a0hour days. Fridays alternate betweenu00a08u00a0houru00a0daysu00a0or non-working days. In each two-week period, this totalsu00a080 hours.u00a0u00a0 Typical Physical Activity:u00a0Desk/computer work in an office environment. Mayu00a0involve:u00a0repetitive motion.u00a0u00a0 Typical Pay Range: Theu00a0anticipatedu00a0pay range for this position in the identified location(s) isu00a0$30.00u00a0u2013u00a0$32.00/hour. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.u00a0 Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required:This position requires an existing active oru00a0interim Secretu00a0security clearance prior tou00a0hire.
