Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Grade 7 (Salaried)Position Description:The University of Louisville is seeking an Assistant Registrar. The Assistant Registrar will manage all of the daily operations of the Service and Processing Centers, including registration, grading, academic actions, reports, transcripts, storage of records, petitions for residency/tuition exceptions, collection/depositing of monies, and commencement-related activities while ensuring in all facets that staff provide exemplary in-person, telephone, and email customer service.The position will supervise, hire, train and evaluate two Assistant Directors, a Compliance Analyst, the Residency and Commencement Coordinator, and five Department Coordinator II positions. Candidate will initiate, plan, implement, and assess customer service training, cross-training, knowledge sharing, payroll/Human Resources functions, and professional development for each individual supervised. They will assist the Registrar with planning, budgeting and policy implementation. They are responsible for documenting all procedures.The Assistant Registrar will counsel and advise students/families of students, faculty, and staff. Work with other university offices, including Dean of Students, Academic Deans, Advising, Bursar, Financial Aid, and other entities to provide reports, collaborate, and reach a resolution of any issues.Candidate will act as liaison with Transfer Services and Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions offices to ensure collection and dissemination of credentials among all offices to facilitate the prompt and accurate posting of transfer credit. Work with outside agencies on special programs and/or projects, such as Metroversity, High School Dual Credit, Community College outreach (ULTRA), and National Student Clearinghouse.The Assistant Registrar will maintain a strong understanding of FERPA and related policies, AACRAO guidelines, as well as federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Ensure staff is trained and adheres to all constraints. Coordinate with academic and service offices to improve policies and procedures.Manage the Universityu2019s Winter session program, including advertising the program and maintenance of the Winter session website.
