Outside Guest Services

As a key member of the property's golf operations team, the Outside Guest Services/Golf Cart/Range Attendant reports directly to the Golf Course general manager and attends to the golf cart fleet and driving range.This position is mainly outside, involves a lot of walking and weather may be inclement. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Must have strong customer/guest orientationMust have strong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be dependableMust have friendly personality and enjoy working with the publicWorking knowledge of the rules of golf is preferredAbility to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulationsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to use equipment and tools properly and safelyorganized and able to work well in a fast paced environmentMust have drivers license Responsibilities:Maintain a professional appearanceBringing carts from the cart barn in the morning and returning carts to the cart barn at the end of the dayCleaning, fueling, and checking carts after each useClean and maintain cart barnEnsure the practice range is open and ready for players in the morningEnsure the clubhouse and practice range areas are kept orderly and clean, including restrooms and trash cansWork closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournamentImplement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by managementEnsure the carts are available for player use at all timesWork closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournamentImplement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by managementPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerWorking Conditions:While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and handsThe employee often is required to walk, stand, talk or hear, handle, feel or operate objectsThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionallyThe employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawlSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perceptionModerate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, mechanical hazards and electrical hazardsExposure to pollens and dustNoise level is moderately quietWork weekends and holidays and work extended hours during golf and holiday seasonAll job descriptions are subject to a periodic review.
