The Health Unit Assistant (HUA) provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within a healthcare unit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The HUA serves as a central point of contact for staff, patients, families and other departments, assisting with administrative functions, patient flow and assisting with unit activities. Our Med/Surgical unit is excellent opportunity to work as a team to provide the best care for our patients that can include, but not limited to general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ENT and plastics as well as general medical patients. Required Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent + Exceptional Customer Service skills + Acquires and maintains skills necessary for role + Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications + Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment + Strong organizational and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: + Knowledge of Medical Terminology + Previous clerical, customer service or other experience in a healthcare setting.
