Summer Architectural Intern

Description Hennebery Eddy Architects seeks highly skilled architecturalinterns to join our team. Our summer internship program is structuredaround five focus areas designed to give you first-hand exposure to arange of topics associated with the profession. Interns will beresponsible for supporting project teams in the design, coordination,and detailing of architectural materials and systems. Architecturalinterns will collaborate with project architects and designers totranslate the design direction of a project into a thoughtfully craftedexpression of the client's goals and programmatic requirements. Thisposition is located in the Portland, OR studio. Relocation stipend willbe offered to those temporarily relocating to Portland. ResponsibilitiesAssist with program development, design conceptualization, regulatorycoordination, and technical aspects of projects through constructiondocuments and construction administration Organize, prepare, and presentdesign and technical solutions in a client context Contribute to officeculture, initiatives, and learning programs Qualifications Currentlyenrolled in or recently graduated from a professional architectureprogram Evidence of strong design, organizational, and technical skillsGraphic presentation skills, including hand sketching abilityProficiency in the use of 2D/3D software such as Revit, Photoshop,InDesign, Illustrator, Bluebeam, or Rhino Ability to foster innovationin design, construction technology, and sustainable design Excellenttime management, collaboration, and communication skills Familiaritywith LEED standards encouraged A minimum of two references Five FocusAreas & Internship Program Elements Design process participation Projectteam immersion Construction site visits Research project Lunch with anarchitect series Designated mentor Participation in committees and firmevents Assistance logging AXP hours Relocation stipend will be offeredTo Apply For consideration, please submit cover letter, resume, and worksamples in PDF format and limit the file size to 10MB.
