Cyber Data Engineer

Title: Data Engineer (Cyber Team) Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly Location: On-site in Huntsville, AL Experience Level: 8+ Years of Data/Architect experience. Contact: System One IT is looking for a Data Engineer to join our high-performing cyber team in support of a large government enterprise environment. Required Skills: + Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly + Requires BS or BA degree. + Eight Years of total IT experience required. + The engineer will work with specified open-source technologies, as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technologies, to create an application that generates manageable and actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data. + Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application to include: developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software; facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing, as well as using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies; and establishing an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data. + Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security. + Design and construct large relational databases. + Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality. Experience Required: + At least 8 years in a data architect or data engineer role + Experience with developing ETL processes/pipelines + Experience with modeling complex data structures of varied formats + Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats and support project team to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms Preferred Experience: + CRIBL experience + Splunk Experience + MS Sentinel Experience + We're looking for someone experienced in building out data pipelines utilizing Splunk/Cribl or other similar SIEMs/ETL tools BENEFITS + We offer a comprehensive benefit package that includes 3 weeks paid time off, 2 weeks Holiday pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, AD&D, and 401k with up to 4% match.
