Sr. Accountant

Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you will oversee key financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes. You will play a vital part in managing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end close activities. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank and credit card transactions, to ensure financial accuracy. u2022 Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. u2022 Lead month-end close processes by compiling and reviewing financial data for timely reporting. u2022 Handle construction accounting tasks such as tracking work-in-progress (WIP) and managing liens. u2022 Coordinate accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial records. u2022 Prepare audit documentation and assist in compliance reviews. u2022 Conduct CAM reconciliations to ensure proper allocation of expenses. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency. u2022 Support financial planning and analysis through detailed reporting and forecasting. Construction industry and property management accounting experience is required and a degree in finance or accounting is preferred. The position is 100% onsite and all candidates must live in the local Knoxville area. For immediate consideration please contact Lisa Coker at 865-370-2084 to set up an interview Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction accounting. u2022 Proficiency in performing account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and CAM. u2022 Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. u2022 Expertise in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel functions. u2022 Familiarity with month-end close processes and audit preparation. u2022 Understanding of WIP (Work in Progress) and lien tracking. u2022 Experience with accounts payable operations and financial reporting. u2022 Excellent organizational and analytical skills for managing complex financial data.
