Whatu2019s a typical day as a Test Technician? Youu2019ll be: u2022 Performing all required tests on transformers, control box, and other components in accordance with established procedures and specific instructions. u2022 Developing and maintaining expert-level skills in testing controls and auxiliary devices. u2022 Troubleshooting failures and handling non-conformities per procedure. u2022 Performing basic preventive maintenance and ensuring a clean and organized work station. u2022 Calculating test data, recording and filing test result calculations, and analyzing final test reports. u2022 Moving and setting up transformers, assemblies, and auxiliary devices on the test floor. u2022 Documenting non-conformance and supporting troubleshooting activities. u2022 Creating preliminary test reports. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: u2022 Have technical knowledge and experience in testing power transformers and associated auxiliary apparatus. u2022 Are proficient in documenting and calculating test results. u2022 Have computer proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel. u2022 Understand electricity and safety rules pertaining to electricity. u2022 Have excellent communication skills and can collaborate with various departments. u2022 Pay strict attention to details and have strong report writing skills. u2022 Are able to work at heights with fall protection.
