For more information, visit Job Summary Weu2019re seeking an inspiring, handsu2011on Executive Chef to lead the culinary experience for a foodservice program serving 3,000+ students across six schools in Gainesville Independent School District, TX . This role is ideal for a creative culinarian passionate about delivering fresh, engaging, and nutritious meals to students from Head Start through High School. It also offers an excellent Mondayu2013Friday schedule, typically 7 AMu20134 PM, and since the district operates on a fouru2011day school week, managers benefit from a fifth day dedicated to planning, regrouping, and elevating the program. As the onu2011site Chef, youu2019ll drive menu innovation, elevate food quality, and collaborate closely with the Director of Dining Services and a team of 32 frontline associates. Youu2019ll bring excitement to the cafu00e9 experience by championing programs like Global Eats, Student Choice, Discover Kitchen, and Mood Boost, while supporting catering and maintaining high standards in food safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities: + Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines + Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards + Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas + Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed + Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures + Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: + A.S. or equivalent experience + Three+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience + Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation + Experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet + Catering experience a plus + High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable + ServSafe certified u2013 highly desirable Apply to Chartwells Schools today _Chartwells Schools is a member of Compass Group USA_ Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story ( Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
