The ideal candidate has deep expertise in structural and miscellaneous steel erection, strong coordination skills, and a proven ability to deliver work safely, on time, and to specification.u003c/pu003eu003cp dir= 'auto 'u003eu003cstrongu003eKey Responsibilities:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003eu003cul dir= 'auto 'u003eu003cliu003eSupervise safe and efficient erection of structural/miscellaneous steel (beams, columns, trusses, braces, stairs, railings, connections).u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eCoordinate with project managers, engineers, fabricators, erectors, and other trades for timely material delivery and installation.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eManage daily steel field operations, crew productivity, equipment use, and site organization.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eEnsure compliance with project specs, AISC standards, codes, tolerances, and quality requirements through inspections.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eDevelop and maintain steel schedules (short- and long-term) aligned with overall project timeline.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eEnforce OSHA and company safety protocols; promote a strong safety culture.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eProactively identify and resolve field issues (clashes, fit-up problems, fabrication errors).u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eMaintain accurate daily reports, logs, inspection records, and progress tracking.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eServe as primary on-site liaison for steel-related matters between field, management, and design teams.u003c/liu003eu003c/ulu003eu003cp dir= 'auto 'u003eu003cstrongu003eQualifications:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003eu003cul dir= 'auto 'u003eu003cliu003e8+ years of hands-on steel erection experience in civil/structural/heavy construction.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eProven leadership as Superintendent, General Foreman, or Foreman on steel-intensive projects (bridges, industrial plants, heavy civil).u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eStrong knowledge of steel systems, erection sequencing, rigging, welding, bolting, and AISC standards.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eAbility to read/interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eExcellent leadership, communication, and team management skills (union u0026non-union crews).u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eOSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred); NCCER or similar steel/safety certifications a plus.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eProficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eExperience coordinating steel with concrete and multiple trades on complex sites.u003c/liu003eu003cliu003eValid driver’s licenseu003c/liu003eu003c/ulu003eu003c/divu003e ', 'location ': 'Newark, NJ ', 'remote ':null, 'jobtype ': 'directhire ', 'remoteoption ': 'no ', 'featuredonjobboard ':false, 'ownedbyagency ':false, 'externalid ': 'FL173-2751646
