Performing diagnostic evaluations and repairs on complex mechanical and electronic systems to ensure optimal performance and readinessConducting routine and corrective maintenance operations following established technical manuals and schematicsPreparing detailed maintenance records, test results, and corrective actions to support performance tracking and compliance requirementsCollaborating with senior engineers to implement upgrades and system improvements while adhering to DoD standardsProviding training and technical support to junior technicians during system integrations and operational testing#LI-TF1FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING3-5 years experience in an engineering technician roleHigh school diploma or GEDDemonstrated ability to perform intermediate-level engineering tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and testing of mechanical and electronic systems in accordance with DoD specificationsProficient in using advanced diagnostic tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to identify and resolve system malfunctionsSkilled in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system troubleshooting and repairPossess an active DoD secret security clearanceFamiliarity with design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks to assist in system modifications and upgradesExperience with root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies to enhance maintenance workflowsStrong organizational skills to manage and document system data, maintenance schedules, and performance metricsAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support during system installations and upgradesRelevant military experienceSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVELTo be determinedScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
