This posiiton is responsible for the overall performance for all site departments, value streams, and shifts, interfacing with all levels of the organization to foster the growth our emplyees while continuously improving the safety, quality, delivery, and cost position of the organization while explifying Morgan behaviors and code.Essential Functions include:Oversees all assigned area(s) by providing the appropriate leadership and training to production personnel while coordinating work as necessary while following established procedures and approved processes.Plans, schedules and coordinates shift activities to deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion while recording, analyzing, and reporting process data.Suggests and implements action plans to control and improve the manufacturing process consistent with the strategic initiatives.Troubleshoots issues, calibrates equipment and monitors maintenance.Establishes and maintains effective communication with the Engineering, Quality Control, and all supporting departments.Ensures ongoing continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.Attends DGA meetings as required.Creates and drives 6-S activities.Works collaboratively with management and HR on employee engagement and interactions to ensure effective employee relations consistent with policies and procedures.Effectively manages labor and cost associated with labor.Participates in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.Ensures workplace safety by performing risk assessments, hazard spotting tours, and engagement activities.Communicates with employees on all levels within the organization.Minimum Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma required; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field preferred.Three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.Experience with Lean Manufacturing culture and tools.Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing. Computer skills, knowledge of, and the ability to work with, Microsoft Office applications.Strong interpersonal skills.Good communication and documentation skills.Problem analysis and resolution. Proven ability to lead people and drive results in a team environment. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.5+ years’ experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing setting.Self-started, self-motivated, hands-on.Strong ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision.Must have the ability and willingness to succeed in an environment where Safety, creativity, commitment, accountability, customer satisfaction, results orientation and continuous improvement are the core values.Additional Requirements:Bilingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make one’s self understood to all Spanish speaking individuals.Must be familiar with ERP SystemMust be proficient In Microsoft OfficeMust be able to clearly present ideas and reports in written and verbal formatMust be able to work well with subordinates, peers and superiors in all departments of the Company as well as external contactsThis position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
