Our shared culture of customer obsession drives our mission to make homeownership attainable for all.As a Land Planning & Development Intern, you will be part of a world class homebuilding experience and you will see first-hand how we develop land parcels for future home building - from initial planning and feasibility studies to final project completion.***This is a full?time, Monday-Friday position running for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2026***Assist the Land Planning team as they work with local and state municipalities, public and private related agencies, planning and zoning departments to entitle acquired projects. Assist with plan submittals and review process, support scheduling, meeting deadlines and specific processes to ensure timely completion of the entitlement process.Assist the Land Development team to determine what needs to be done to the dirt (grading, demolition, excavation) of the acquired and entitled project prior to home construction. Contract, schedule and oversee dirt preparation (grading, demolition, excavation) of the dirt. Contract, schedule and oversee in-ground utility installation, roadway pavements, concrete home pads and sidewalks.Understand how we identify potential risks associated with land development projects and develop mitigation strategies. Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).This position is based in the division office and field-based between communities throughout the division.
