Manager Security

As our Manager Security, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all security operations to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, facilities, and assets. You will provide leadership to security supervisors and staff, develop policies and procedures, manage incident response, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a secure environment.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsPlan, implement, and manage comprehensive security programs, policies, and proceduresProvide leadership to the Security teamAnalyze incident reports, security data, and trends to identify risks and recommend corrective actionsOversee incident response, investigations, and follow-up actions, including coordination with law enforcement or emergency servicesApply conflict resolution and de-escalation strategies to safely resolve incidents and minimize riskManage security continuous training programsDevelop and manage security staffing plans, schedules, and coverage requirementsCoordinate all contracted security services utilizing security vendorsEnsure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety regulationsOversee access control, surveillance systems, alarms, and other security technologies to ensure the most efficient, modern and compliant protection systemsDevelop and maintain annual operating budget for the Security department across all facilitiesMaintain record keeping and distribution of high security keying systemParticipate in emergency preparedness planning and drillsAbide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading CompanyMaintain regular, predictable attendanceWork requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractorsMust be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance noticeMarginal FunctionsMay be required to perform any of the above functions at any of the company locationsMay require occasional availability outside normal business hours to address critical or emergency mattersPerforms other duties and projects assigned Here’s what you need to join the fun:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing environmentsHigh degree of independent judgment to make sound decisionsStrong knowledge of Security operations, emergency procedures, and safety protocolsProficiency with personal computers and security-related software systemsDetail oriented, organized and possess excellent follow-through skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilitiesProvide personalized customer service of the highest level and safeguard confidential informationAbility to be trained as a first responder and CPR certifiedEducationBachelor’s degree in criminal justice, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredExperienceMinimum 5-7 years of security supervisor experienceLocal, state or federal law enforcement related experience preferredOther QualificationsMust be at least 21 years of ageA valid driver’s license and driving record in accordance with OTC standards is required for operation of company vehiclesMust be able to walk frequently, use elevators and climb open grate stairwaysMust be able to lift 50 lbsAbility to perform job duties in a safe mannerJoin us at Oriental Trading, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, where fun means business!
