We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.The Senior Admission Advisor plays a key role in Candler School of Theology’s recruitment, admissions, and yield efforts by developing strategic initiatives to attract, engage, and enroll outstanding students. This position is responsible for leading targeted recruitment strategies, analyzing admissions data, coordinating major admissions events, and managing key external partnerships. The Senior Admission Advisor also oversees the Admissions Ambassador program, campus visit experiences, and digital engagement strategies, ensuring a seamless and impactful recruitment experience for prospective students.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruitment Strategy & Admissions Management:Develops and executes strategic recruitment initiatives, including data-driven analyses of enrollment trends and feeder schools to optimize outreach.Conducts on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruitment events, including admitted student and prospective student programs.Reviews, evaluates, and recommends admissions and scholarship decisions using established criteria.Designs and leads recruitment efforts for key populations, such as MTS applicants, hybrid students, and theological/ministry-focused candidates.Event & Ambassador Program Leadership:This position may oversee student workers, including Admissions Ambassadors and temporary admissions assistants, and collaborates with faculty, staff, and external partners to implement recruitment initiatives.Oversees the planning and execution of key admissions events such as Admitted Student Day and Fall Visit Day to enhance yield and engagement.Develops new recruitment initiatives, such as Discover Candler, a multi-modal experience for hybrid student engagement.Strategic Partnerships & Liaison Work:Serves as Candler’s primary liaison to the Association of Academic Divinity Schools (AADS) and co-chair for joint theological recruitment events nationwide.Maintains and expands relationships with key ministry leaders, campus chaplains, and denominational influencers to strengthen recruitment pipelines.Digital & Social Media Engagement:Leads admissions social media and marketing efforts in collaboration with Candler Communications.Develops and executes digital engagement campaigns to increase outreach to prospective and admitted students.Analyzes social media impact on recruitment and iterates strategies for improved visibility and engagement.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business administration, education, or a related field. Two years of college or university admission experience. A valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record. Effective public speaking skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate theological degree is strongly preferred.A minimum of two years of work experience in church, college campus ministry, and/or university student recruiting.Experience in a graduate theological school is highly desirable.Experience with event planning, hospitality, and customer service is preferred.Candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of MS Office and experience with enrollment management software is desirable (e.g., Slate).Demonstrated skill in planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating student recruitment is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
