Responsibilities will be to oversee the direction of each region to provide efficient, high-quality customer service, achieve financial goals, and deliver profitably through a highly trained and motivated staff.What Highmark can do for you:Help you achieve your goals by continuous professional development and regular career progression sessionsCompetitive pay for the marketMonthly bonus opportunities for all site associates30% associate rent discountMedical, Dental & Vision benefits the 1st of the month following 30 days of full-time employmentCompany-provided life insurance, short term and long term disability coverageFlexible Spending accounts401(k) eligibility after 90 days, with 4% Highmark matchProfessional Certification & Tuition reimbursementVacation, Sick and Personal Time off available to use after 90 days10 paid holidaysPaid parental leaveEssential functions include (but are not limited to):Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Operations Manual and according to Highmark’s strategic goalsDirectly supervise and provide guidance to Regional Managers, Senior Regional Managers, Construction Management and Administrative Assistant to ensure that properties meet or exceed approved budgetsDesign, implement, and promote innovative programs to increase operational efficiencies and profitabilityMonitor and review financial reportingWork closely with Asset Management to provide due diligence oversight, analysis and transition assistance during the acquisition and disposition processRespond appropriately to escalated complaints by residents or prospective residentsStay up-to-date of changes in Fair Housing laws, rules, and regulations concerning apartment leasing and managementAssist with recruiting quality candidates to join HighmarkParticipate in community activities, network groups, and related professional organizations in order to be aware of ongoing changes within the multi-family industryPerforms all other duties as assigned by the Vice President of OperationsQualifications:Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting preferredIndustry accreditations preferred - CAM, CAPS, CPM10+ years experience managing multiple portfolios within the multi-family industryStrong knowledge of budgetary preparation and managementAbility to independently assume responsibility for the overall needs of the Operations DepartmentGood public/employee relation skills, problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making abilityGood oral/written communication skills, participatory “team management” leadership styleGood time management/organizational skills with strong analytical and reasoning abilitiesExcellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, and other property management softwareWillingness to travel as requiredReq.
