Quanta’s focus on the utility industry and HBK’s focus on constructability in our designs has made our integration into the Quanta family of companies seamless.A Sr. Professional Licensed Surveyor at HBK Engineering is a position that provides subject matter expertise on survey field operations methods and procedures at the highest organizational level. This executive-level role involves overseeing multiple survey crews and multiple survey projects while coordinating with Sr. Field Staff Managers and Sr. Field Project Managers to develop new business and acquire new clients. The position requires Professional Land Surveyor licensure in multiple states and extensive experience, serving as a consultant to Sr. Field Managers, Division Managers, and Vice Presidents with masterful understanding of survey expertise. Primary Work Location: Chicago, ILProvide subject matter expertise on survey field operations methods and procedures at the executive levelPerform duties as surveyor responsibly in-charge of various surveys statewide, including geodetic/project control, mapping, and boundary surveysOversee multiple survey crews and multiple survey projects with comprehensive organizational responsibilityCoordinate with Sr. Field Staff Managers and Sr. Field Project Managers to develop new business and acquire new clientsConsult Sr. Field Managers, Division Managers, and Vice Presidents with masterful understanding of survey expertiseProvide comprehensive survey training and support for statewide field and office personnelDevelop and update training and procedure manuals for surveying operations across the organizationDevelop standards and procedures for survey-related issues with organizational authorityConduct research, needs evaluation, and write specifications for procurement of survey instrumentsDevelop and maintain liaison with project managers' offices, region offices, design sections, and others to provide training and instruction in field survey proceduresResearch and develop new survey procedures for utilization of automated survey equipmentKeep abreast with advances in survey technology and serve as primary source of information to field personnelProvide professional communication with clients on complex survey and business mattersDemonstrate flexibility to work effectively in both office and field environments for comprehensive oversightLead strategic initiatives in survey technology advancement and organizational development.Bachelor's degree requiredProfessional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required, licensed in multiple statesFifteen (15) years of experience as a Professional Land SurveyorE.I.T./S.I.T.
