Under the direction of the Director Product Management, oversees the management of product inventories including the receiving, preparing, packaging, and delivery of products consistent with all regulatory and compliance standards, while meeting customer expectations..BenefitsVersiti provides a comprehensive benefits package based on your job classification. Works with other Versiti locations to maximize inventory efficiencyManages schedules and rotates staff to ensure processes are timely, effective and efficient in a 24/7/365 operationAbility to work a flexible schedule and take calls as requiredAssists staff during times of increased workload or short staffingEncourages and maintains a culture of respect, teamwork and continuous improvementActs as a role model by demonstrating leadership, knowledge, safe practices and problem solving skillsAccountable for staff management to include hiring, performance reviews, discipline and termination according to applicable policies and in collaboration with Human ResourcesRegularly meets with staff and effectively communicates and reports progress in meeting departmental goals and objectivesMentors and coaches staff to develop and maintain staff competence and performanceEnsures instrument preventative maintenance and quality control are performed and documented on time and as requiredAssures that errors and deviations are reported, documented, and investigated on-time and according to institutional policy and regulatory requirements Ability to take calls on off shifts and for weekend/holiday coverageDevelops Versiti wide peer relationships and has the ability to work in a functional group settingOther duties as assignedAssists in designing (or optimizing) processes, validations and training protocolsAssists in cross-training to foster an environment of team work between Production and Distribution DepartmentsAssists with annual budget planningPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate's Degree in science preferredExperience1-3 years supervisory experience preferred4-6 years experience in a regulated environment preferredDemonstrates competencies and experience in core production and or hospital services requiredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge and hands on experience in basic donor or patient testing requirements and techniquesKnowledge of Good Manufacturing/Laboratory Practices or FDA regulations desiredExperience with continuous improvement systems desiredAbility to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other technical documentsAbility to produce reports, graphs and communications for senior leadership as requested and within the scope of the positionAbility to apply judgment to address procedural, equipment, customer and staff issuesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated leadership skills including team building and problem solvingAbility to organize a productive work flow and lead the team to meet departmental goalsTools and TechnologyPersonal Computer (desk top, lap top, tablet) requiredGeneral office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine) requiredMicrosoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
