This role will be responsible for supporting the Global Finance department in achieving financial reporting objectives across multiple international jurisdictions, while preparing statutory financial statements and tax reports for these jurisdictions. This role will be located in ourGlobal Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Other key responsibilities include:Analyzing statutory ledgers, monitoring reconciliations, and investigating variances across billing, collections, and financial reporting dataPreparing and reviewing account analyses, journal entries, and month-end closing tasksValidating financial data across accounting systems and maintaining financial accounting proceduresReviewing statutory reports, identifying discrepancies, and presenting findings to stakeholders as needed for resolutionCollaborating with finance management on year-end reporting, new report development, and special projectsProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe’d love to hear from you if you:Possess thorough knowledge of cash and accrual accounting principles in a multi-jurisdictional environmentExhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointDemonstrate experience with Elite 3E, Systems Applications and Products (SAP) Business Objects, or similar platforms, preferablyAnd have:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, business, or a related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent international certification, preferablyA minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in accounting practices and procedures with increasing responsibilityInternational accounting and financial reporting experience, including foreign exchange exposure, preferablyPublic accounting or professional services firm experience, preferablySuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
