Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This role is crucial in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage complex accounting functions within a private equity-backed environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). u2022 Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management. u2022 Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and provide insightful forecasts to support strategic decisions. u2022 Implement and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with legal regulations. u2022 Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering collaboration and enhancing overall team productivity. u2022 Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring all required documents and statements are submitted promptly. u2022 Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend actionable strategies to improve profitability. u2022 Ensure compliance with private equity reporting requirements and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. u2022 Optimize document control processes, including scanning, compiling, and organizing financial records. u2022 Support the transition and integration of financial systems as needed to align with company objectives. Requirements u2022 Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. u2022 Must Have: Recent PE backed experience to be considered for this role. u2022 Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management. u2022 Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance regulations. u2022 Proven experience working in a private equity-backed environment. u2022 Exceptional leadership and team management skills. u2022 Proficiency in document control processes, including scanning and organizing financial records. u2022 Ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights. u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate financial documentation.
